A partir de ahora las entrevistas no van a formar parte de la sección Sunday Morning porque así tengo más libertad a la hora de publicarlas. Y sin más preámbulos, Goody Grace. Hace no mucho le descubrí gracias a Cody Simpson y ahora que empieza a sacar su propia música y vídeos no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de hacerle unas preguntas. 

-Para empezar, cuéntanos algo sobre ti para aquellos que no te conozcan.

Soy Goody Grace. Tengo 18 años y soy de un pueblo llamado Selkirk, en Manitoba, Canadá. Las cosas que más me gusta hacer en este mundo son tocar la guitarra y escribir canciones.

-¿Cuánto tiempo llevas escribiendo canciones? ¿Están basadas en tus propias experiencias?

Llevo escribiendo canciones de forma seria desde que tenía unos 11 años. Todas mis canciones están basadas tanto en mis propias experiencias como en mi perspectiva de la vida o cualquier cosa que me inspire.

-¿Hay alguna canción de la que te sientas particularmente orgulloso?

Estoy muy orgulloso de mi última canción y vídeo “Infinite” que acaba de salir. Tanto la canción como el vídeo están hechos por mí y es de algún modo el himno de lo que soy.

-Has coescrito Flower de Cody Simpson ¿Cómo fue? Y, ¿Hay alguien con quien te gustaría colaborar?

¡Sí! Trabajar con Cody fue una de las cosas más guays que he hecho hasta ahora. Es increíblemente talentoso y es incluso más guay que ambos tengamos la misma edad. Me encantaría volver a trabajar con él, quizás en algo de mi música. Y también me encantaría trabajar con Taylor Swift, ella se encuentra probablemente en lo más alto de mi lista.

-¿Quién es tu inspiración o alguien en quien te fijas?

Siempre me he inspirado y fijado en Bob Dylan. También me gustan bandas como The Smiths, Blink 182 y cualquier tipo de música indie y folk.  En realidad me gusta todo tipo de música y películas así que eso me inspira. Además de tomar inspiración del día a día y las cosas que ocurren.

-¿Podemos esperar un EP pronto?

Sí, ¡podemos esperar mucho en el futuro!

-¿Hay algún lugar en el que te gustaría hacer un concierto?

Me encantaría realizar un tour y tocar en cualquier sitio. Nueva York, Londres, Los Ángeles, Italia... ¡En todas partes!

-Y, última pregunta. Goody Grace, ¿Dónde te ves dentro de un año?

Me veo realizando un tour, haciendo la mejor música posible, e inspirando a otros.

Not too long ago I discovered him thanks to Cody Simpson and now that he is releasing his own songs and music videos I couldn't let the oportunity of doing an interview.

-Firstly, tell us something about you for those who may not know you.

I'm Goody Grace. I'm 18 years old and from a town called Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada. My favourite things to do in this entire world are playing guitar and writing songs.

-How long have you been writing songs? Are they based in your own experiencies.

I've been seriously writing songs since I was about 11 years old. All of my songs are either based off my own experiences, my perspective on life, or just whatever makes me inspired.

-Is there any song you are particulary proud of?

I'm very proud of my latest song and video "Infinite" which just released. Both the song and video were made by me and it is kind of the anthem of what I am all about.

-You co-wrote Flower by Cody Simpson, how was it? And, is there someone you would like to colaborate with next?

Yes! Working with Cody was one of the coolest things i've done so far. He is incredibly talented and it is even cooler that we are the same age. I would love to work with him again in the future maybe on some of my music. I would also absolutely love to work with Taylor Swift, she is probably at the top of my list.

-Who is your inspiration or someone you look up to?

I have always been inspired by and looked up to Bob Dylan. I am also very into bands such as The Smiths, Blink 182 and all kinds of indie and folk music. I am really into every genre of music and films so that is what I'm inspired by. I also take inspiration from every day life and things that occur.

- Can we expect an EP soon?

Yes, we can expect a lot coming in the near future!

-Is there any place you would like to do a gig in?

I would love to tour and play shows everywhere really. New York, London, Los Angeles, Italy.. everywhere!

-And, last question. Goody Grace, where do you see yourself in one year?

I see myself on tour, making the best music I can, and inspiring others.
